Brother 2 Brother (Young People’s Health Project)

Brother 2 Brother was developed into a year long residency/performance project in collaboration with the Young People’s Sexual Health Project, which was led by Michael Hamilton. The project explored relationships between older and younger Black men through an intensive workshop process that included sharing oral histories, performance exercises, and creative writing.

Material from the process was scripted by McMillan, who directed the ensemble performance presentation that included workshop participants at The Albany Empire, Deptford, southeast London, from 5-6 June 2003. Each performance was followed by an audience discussion.
